But the 3 in the 3/10 was for the voices. I guess it didn't exist because this was before it all. I personally didn't enjoy that, and it pissed me off they didn't just use the OST. The music was completely off, and instead of being the sad, tearjerking, beautiful Danko Daizakou we know, it is this awful happy upbeat version with different lyrics. Probably the most besides the character swaps. 9/10, the highest score of this movie review. Not nearly as good as the series, but the lighting was great is some scenes. I thought the ending was not very satisfactory and it left an entire third of the story left to be told, about how Ushio(SPOILER FOR CLANNAD AFTER STORY)does, than resurrects in a parallel universe where Nagisa survives and they live happily ever after.Īnimation was beautiful. On the other hand, it literally turned back time for a beautiful ending in Clannad: After Story. Plus, besides poetically, it served absolutely no use. It just seemed nowhere near the true Clannad, and it was completely different. Also, something that really ticked me off was the Empty world thing. Well, I have the story an 8/10 because, as I explained earlier, the character's roles are all jumbled up to form a slightly less enjoyable and disingenuine version of Clannad. It just doesn't feel like the real Clannad. Somehow, Sunohara is now the electrician, Ryou doesn't exist, Tomoya is a grumpy jerk to Nagisa, and ended world just seems ridiculous. Not to mention, the roles were even reversed and jumbled from the way we know and love it. However, there were many characters missing from the story as a whole, and that kind of threw off the entire movie. Of course, the characters were easily identifiable. It didn't have the same beautiful setup, and it just didn't seem. There were some nice added scenes, but overall, this was nothing, I say nothing, compared to the Clannad Series. Basically, it was covering over Clannad and Clannad: After Story in an hour in a half.
